So my name is Lisa; I am a pensive, sentient, creative being. I have travelled the world, lived through an array of experiences, and have shared my heart and soul with some extraordinary people who I am blessed to call my friends (transcending); I have climbed the Great Pyramids of Egypt and cruised the River Nile (breathtaking); wandered through the Valley of the Kings and the temples of Luxor (awe-inspiring); played in the surf on a reef in Hawaii, only to be brought in by the fire department, the Coast Guard, and, well, also some helicopters (don't ask); once saved two children from being killed by a speeding double-decker bus (frightening and miraculous); spent an entire spring break doing nothing but playing video games with a close friend (priceless); built a fort in the attic during the hottest days of the summer (just plain stupid); in the quest for the gift of eloquence, climbed the narrow staircase of Blarney Castle, to hang upside-down 100 feet in the air backward, to kiss the Blarney Stone (acrobatic); dined atop the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok (delightful); gambled in the casinos of Monte Carlo (exhilarating); trekked the Great Wall of China (spectacular); celebrated Halloween in the Château d'Aigle in Switzerland (outrageous); rode the mechanical bull at Saddle Ranch - twice (hilarious); ended up with the bruises to prove it (... not so funny); explored the intricacies of the Mayan pyramids and swam with the fish in Tulum (captivating); visited the Holy Land, and frolicked in the Dead Sea (sublime); waltzed and dined in the palaces of Germany (enchanting); lived in the Intercontinental Hotel in Dalian, China for several months (intoxicating); gazed upon the Suez Canal while eating oranges and sipping Coca Cola (peaceful); drove to the very center of Texas in the middle of the night, with only the glowing eyes of many thousands of deer keeping me company (thoughtful); lived in seven countries, and travelled to more, in my quest to understand, explore, appreciate, and love this precious planet we live on, and the fabulous people who grace it (life changing).
I have experienced just some of the many wonders of this beautiful thing called life, and truly realize that I have so much more to experience, to see, and to give. I choose to live everyday with the understanding that nothing is impossible to those who believe. Let nothing stop you from achieving your dreams.
